Overview
The Cybersecurity competition includes the Disinformation Challenge, Cybersecurity Lockbox, and Insider Threat Investigation. Participants identify false or misleading information across digital platforms, analyze cybersecurity puzzles, and solve breaches through digital forensics. The Disinformation Challenge cultivates media literacy by evaluating online artifacts for misinformation or manipulation. In the Lockbox event, students crack passwords and solve logic-based security threats in sequence. The final task—Insider Threat Investigation—requires teams to examine digital logs and determine the source and motive behind a simulated data leak.
