This competition covers the multifaceted domain of national defense with Cipher Challenge, Port of Entry Inspection, and CBRNE Threat Response. Teams decode and construct ciphers, learning cryptographic principles critical to intelligence work. The Port of Entry event places students in the role of Customs officers, evaluating traveler behavior and documentation to assess risk. CBRNE simulations require teams to plan emergency responses to incidents involving hazardous materials. The program emphasizes intelligence gathering, analytical thinking, and cross-agency collaboration.
